LG VX8350 Cell Phone Car Charger / Vehicle Charger

I bought this for my Mother who had her original factory charger come apart. It's works (worked see below for explanation) just fine and for the price is fantastic.

So it has been a two months and these fall apart like wet toilet paper. I have purchased 3 hoping that the first was just a assembly line goof up, but they really are cheaply constructed. After two of these have come apart at the connection to the phone, I did some preemptive work on the connection and used silicone glue to try and keep the part from pulling apart. It didn't hold very long. The price is great if you are willing to buy one every few weeks, but in a short amount of time, it adds up to the cost of an OEM charger (the one that came with the phone last two years).

If you do buy one of these, be certain to stretch out the coiled wire so that you have some extra length, because if you don't then the connector will come apart the first time you pull the phone towards your ear.

The item is of fair quality but for the price this is an exellent deal.

I'll make this short and to the point. The ONLY reason I can't give this product 5 stars is because in the standby mode (meaning ready to accept a call instantly), the battery doesn't stay charged for very long. Therefore, I need to "power down" between phone calls. It's OK, since it will "power up" by the 5th ring, but it is inconvenient. Never a complaint from the other end.

It works, eventually it breaks (in my case 6 months)so I buy 2 and I am out . I get a different phone from verizon every year why would I buy their car charger for a phone that I either break/lose or replace every year. My expectations for this product are low so I am happily satisfied!
