If you own a Q, you know the battery life with the standard battery is horrible. This charger also has a slot for a 2nd battery, which is great. So I can charge my phone with the standard battery, and have the extended one Verizon sells in the back slot. Never having to worry about battery life again. Also, it makes a wonderful stand for the phone, and when hooked to the USB cable, you get data conectivity too. Only downside, it won't charge the extended battery until the phone is fully charged.

This model is very slim and although ideal for a Motorola Q2, it will not work with a Q9x. There is not a whole lot to it, but if you use your USB Sync Cable, it will synchronize and charge, and if you use your USB Charging cable it will do that to. BUT you must have a Motorola Q2 (the skinny Q) ONLY. The Q9x are too fat to fit in the charger. I received the Motorola desk charger recently. Good quality, charges quickly. One problem, I can't leave the battery cover on the phone while charging. Does not fit. Also, the charge port fits too tight as you slide it in.Overall a good product.
