Blackberry Bold 9000 Car Charger / Vehicle Charger

This charger came up in a search for accessories for BBerry 9650, and states that it's compatible with the 9000 series. It is NOT compatible with the 9650, the new BBerry Bold, which has a micro-USB connector (why? just to force purchase of more accessories, I guess). It's hard to go wrong for $3, but caveat emptor.

I received a wrong car charger. I already throw away my receipt so I can't send it back to change it. I guess I should have tried the car charger first to see it is the right one for my blackberry phone before I throw away my receipt.

This is a generic USB charger. Nowhere on the packaging or the charger itself is there any mention that it will work with a Bold 9000. The only distinguishing mark on the charger is a little sticker that says "For V3." Did they mean to write "3v," for "3 volts?" Who knows?

I've used my Bold 9000 with other generic USB car chargers that are incapable of actually charging the phone, even though they can successfully charge other devices. The lack of the words "Blackberry" or "Bold" on the charger made me worry that this one might not work either, but it actually works just as well as the wall charger that came packaged with my phone, and may even charge more quickly.

Don't believe that this was designed specifically for the Bold 9000, because it's not. However, it works as advertised, so I still recommend it.
