If you are a DIY person, and you do vehicle maintenance, then this is the right tool for you.

I have been doing a lot of research on the Internet and local shops for a quite sometime, comparing specs and prices as well as customers reviews, this was by far the best choise. Never have to have a compressor and a hose like the case in pneumatic ones, and never have to have an electrical wiring all around like the cord ones. Although battery powered, yet very powerful with mighty 500 ft.lb. Do not buy those cord or cordless ones with 200 ft.lb or less, they are only good for in house use and won't be able to crack a nut on your car specially with rust and dirt although sellers say so.

In the low side, I would only say that this tool will not be able to get to bolts in tight spaces due to its size, so some work (i would say 10%) you will have to carry out manually.

The HTH 181 functions OK but when I put it to the torque test it would only torque 1 inch bolt to less than 200 #s. I used a manual torque wrench to check it. I then manually torqued the nut to 500#s, 400#s, 300#s, 275#s and tried to remove the nut with the HTH 181 at each torque setting. It could not remove the nut until I set the nut at 250#s, a far cry from the stated 500#s. That is not enough to remove the lug nuts from a medium duty 6500 series truck. If you wish this tool to back you up removing wheels, don't if you have any thing over a 1-ton. Bosch should be ashamed of them selves. However, it did do better than the Dewalt 36 volt impact tool. The Dewalt would only remove a nut set at 140#s. For the $ I will use a long bar to loosen truck nuts and spin them off with a cheaper battery op tool.
