purchsed this for my wife who waits on a train to trave to work, i purchsed it one size bigger than she would get from the reviews of others. it works great like described, sometimes it's too warm for her.

I can't stand being cold. It actually hurts. My back clenches tightly around my spine and I am so physically uncomfortable that the only thing I can think about in the cold is how cold I feel. This winter, however, was something different because of this vest. The only reason I have survived this cold winter is because of this amazing vest. It has changed my life! My legs and feet still get cold BUT it is completely bearable. After owning it, I couldn't imagine living without it.

The jacket works well. The battery lasts about four hours on medium or high. It also runs true to size which was a problem with others I have had.

After sending it back the second time, I am giving up. It's very well made, but it's seems impossible to get the vest in a size that fits. The sizing guide recommends 'medium', but even 'large' turns out to be almost identical it its dimensions. Also, there is a photo of a car adapter suggesting that you can plug the vest in directly. I contacted the company and they say they discontinued this option (the vest will overheat as the temperature control is build into the battery) and that the vest can only be operated with the battery (which will only last one hour on high).

Charges and heats fast and keeps my daughter warm when she walks to the bus stop and stuff like that. I think she has used it 30min at a time maximum, but it is perfect so far.

As the other reviewer indicated, you might want to size up. X-SM fits perfectly over shirt and hoodie and under coat on my daughter, but she is 5'2 82lbs.
