Smart Universal Battery Charger with USB Output Fits Samsung Infuse 4G I997

I purchased this charger to handle the extra batteries I purchased for my Infuse. It works as promised using the usb cable or household current. The charging indicator does ALWAYS start out red (charging), but sometimes stays blue (battery charged), when a discharged battery is placed in it for charging. Since there were no instructions included with it, I do not know if I am supposed to put the discharged battery into the charger and then connect it to power or if it is alright to place the battery into the charger after it is already connected to power. I have tried it both ways and it does not seem to make a difference when the indicator is "staying blue" with a discharged battery.

I bought this hoping to charge an extended life battery but the terminals wont work on that battery. I used it for a few months on the small battery before the terminals broke and pushed inside of the charger.
