although the cord powers up the garmin nuvi just fine the insertion point to the nuvi looks like an adapter that is straight out. when you plug into this and then put the nuvi on the dashboard the weight of the adapter pulling on it has bent the adapter almost 90 degrees. Would NOT buy this again. Would look for one that is bent 90 degrees at insertion already. This will probably break in a month or so. Certainly not the same one that came with the orginal product.
