Battery Tender 021-1164 10W Solar Charger

The Battery Tender 10W solar panel worked well for 7 months. Now the control unit has apparently failed and the charging LED only flickers occasionally. I was propping the panel against the inside of the windshield of my parked car where it could receive direct sunlight in the afternoon, but even when the sunlight was indirect, the LED charging indicator on the Battery Tender would glow as soon as the sun was fully up in the morning. The car in question doesn't get driven enough to keep its battery from running down, and the solar panel was doing an excellent job of maintaining the battery. I had purchased an adapter cable that plugged into the car's cigarette lighter socket so it wasn't too inconvenient to set up and remove the panel. Previously, I needed to use a battery charger every couple of weeks and now, unfortunately, that chore has returned.

I purchased this Solar Battery Charger to maintain the battery in my vehicle while it is not in use for extended periods of time.
