The Leviton EVB22-3PT was an extremely easy self install. I ran a dedicated 12awg with a 20 amp double pull to a 6-20R prograde receptacle in my garage. The station mounts to the wall by two options: 1) Purchase the Leviton EVK02-M Evr-Green Installation Kit for Home Charging Station (EVB22 16A, 240V) for a complete kit. 2) Purchase your own receptacle for $5 and use the top screw & bottom screw holes to mount to the wall. I decided to go the cheaper route and it works great.When you first plug the unit in it will go through a test cycle. This takes approximately 5 seconds to complete and you will see a solid green power LED. My Volt does not recognize that it has been plugged in as quickly as it did with the standard level 1 that came with the car but it is not more then a 7-8 second difference to get the chirp.
The charge time is substantially faster then with the level 1 at 12 amps. The purchase price may seem high but is well worth it for the 3 year warranty and convenience of a faster charge time.
TLDR; A great buy!
