Everlite Compact Solar Charged Portable Light

I have owned one of these for several years and cannot live without it.

I dropped the one I had and am now getting another one; hopefully I will not be so negligent again. This is a fantastic item or I would not be buying another one.

I've used this lamp every night for the last 7 months and I love it. I use it for a reading light in bed and it gives me bright light without illuminating the entire room. If I fall asleep reading...oh well. The lamp recharges the next day. No batteries to mess with and no electricity to pay for. Also great when the power goes off and I take it on long road trips, too. One of the best and most useful items I've bought in the last year.

I purchased 21 lamps and took them to villages in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. Of the 21, 4 did not function. However, the remaining ones work very well. We will see how many are left a year from now when we re-visit the villages.

This is a waste of money unless you live on a desert island with no other light source. The "beam" of light extends about 6 inches. In total darkness you might find your way out of a room, but any additional light dilutes the "beam" to nothing. Note that no dimensions are included in the product description since it fits in an 8"x12" box.

I ordered the everlite in late June and it arrived a few days later. I charged it with the solar charger and found that some of the LED's were not working. I informed the seller and I was informed by the seller that I would get a refund. A few days later the seller informed me that I had been sent my refund and it was subsequently confirmed by Amazon. I appreciate their prompt and courteous service. I consider this real customer service. They did not give me the "run-aroung" like so many others do.
