My old charger stopped working and I almost thought of buying a new GPS. Thanks to this charger, my GPS is able to be charged again and is working well.
Seems to be better than the last one I ordered. Different model with better cord. Hope is lasts longer. Looks to be made better.

I bought this item for my Garmin Nuvi 255W because I had lost the original charger cable. It seems to work fine with one oddity. When I plug it into the unit and connect it to my power outlet in my car at first it throws up the screen as if it thinks I have connected it to my computer. After about 30 seconds or so this screen goes away and the normal GPS start screen comes up and it works fine. The original power adapter/charging cable did not do this. Over-all though I am happy with this product.

This car charger is not a car charger. It puts the gps into PC mode and does not allow it to function as a gps while plugged in. Do not buy, please stop advertising models as car chargers WHEN THEY DO NOT WORK AS SUCH.
