Innovative design that is perfect for the Samsung Galaxy S3, but looks like it will fit other phones as well. grips securely, will mount on dash or on windshield (I like it on the glass). Hold securely enough that punching the screen to select stuff won't disturb the mount. Designed so that the power attachement that comes with it (if you feel you need it) hangs down and the volume buttons easily accessible. Previously tried to find a place for the S3 while navigating and putting it into cup holders was just ridiculous! And dangerous because it forced eyes off road.

I got the car mount about three weeks ago and I am using it every day. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and an Otterbox Defender and it holds the phone great. I put it on the front window and it hasn't moved since. Plus is also the charger that comes with the mount... One can never have enough chargers!

For some reason I wasn under the impression that this dock was made specifically for SGS3. That wasn't the case. This is a Samsung unviersal dock station with no charge or stereo inputs.

I think it's overpriced because when compared with my SGS1 dock-which I've paid $33 for-it lacks all the nice features like the charge input for example, which makes the phone enter "car mode".

I don't really regret buying it as I'm used to having my phones docked while I'm driving, however I think it should be much cheaper than $48.
