This charger does charge the Droid Pro and an extra battery at the same time, but to do this, you need to have 2 outlets available. There is a sync cable and a power adapter for this charger and the USB sync cable comes with an adapter so you can plug that end into the wall outlet to charge only. So if you plan to us this as a sync port for your phone, this would work great. Plug the USB cable into your computer and then plug the power adapter into the wall.

I recently upgraded to a Droid Pro at work, and was looking for a docking station for my night stand. This one is probably better suited for my desk at work

So far I've found some odd things. The battery charger on the back is independently wired, and the plug-in is odd...it's a Mini-USB connection, not Micro-USB. This worked out for me, because I still have some older cords from my old Blackberries, but what do I to with my original Micro-USB Cord?

The Micro-USB charger point for the phone itself sits on top, but with nothing to brace itself, I'm worried that the charging point will be damaged over the long run.

The LED charging indicators are very bright, and distracting at night, and this is the main reason I'll probably bring this to my work desk, not the night stand

I bought this for my wife because she lost the charger for her droid pro, and this seemed like a good option because of the extra battery charger. I also bought her a spare battery. She plugged her phone in the first night, and it showed that it was charging. When we got up the next morning, her battery was not charged, and when plugged in to an original motorola droid charger it gave a notice that the battery was not a motorola battery and could not be charged. After removing the battery and re-installing it we finally got it to charge on the motorola charger. We will not be using this dock again.

After checking Verizon prices, this was a affordable desktop charger.

I needed a charger easy to set up, that had a wall adapter.

The cradle holds my Droid sturdy and i like that its small and compact.

I wasn't sure the horizontal fit was going to be easiest but its not a problem at all.
