Based on the word "Cradle" in the description, I expected this base to charge my phone if I set it in the front slot. This is not so, there is a small micro-usb cable that you must also plug into your phone to charge it (not shown). The charging current does not come from the 120V wall adapter, it only comes from the USB. The 120V adapter seems to only charge the battery bay. This was all confusing, and the device came with no instructions. I guess you get what you pay for.
Great product. The only thing I wish was different was that it allowed the phone to tilt back at an angle a bit. That would make it easier to read. I've added rubber bumpers on the front of the unit to elevate it slightly and keep it from sliding on my desk and this seems to have fixed my issues.

If people still have blackberry's... it's a great accessery when you buy an extra battery. The only thing I would ask is that if you plug it into the wall the USB charger still works. It only works when plugged into a computer.

This is not a cradle charger, you have to plug a usb cable that comes out of the side of the unit and plug that into the phone, then it has to be plugged into a pc's usb port for it to charge the phone. So if you don't have a pc or a laptop nearby you can't charge your phone. It is advertised as a charging cradle for a tour, and the tour has contacts for a cradle but this unit doesn't use them. Forget about using this as a cradle by your bedside so you can have a clock while its' charging unless you want to drag a PC to bed with you.
