Charger did not work on an iPhone 4. Don't waste your time with this if that is what you are looking for.

My probblem is that when I plug my iPhone 3GS into the charger, it does not charge; it simply gives me a message stating that the usb device is not compatible (optimized??) for this phone. The cable supplied with the charger works with the apple charger that came with the phone, but when plugged into the bullet charger received, it does not work. I also tried substituting the usb docking cable (that came with my phone) with the bullet charger and that didn't work so I am fairly certain that the problem is the bullet charger's compatibility with the iPhone 3GS. By the way; I also tried another iPhone 3GS and it did not work either. This was a waste of time and money.

Had it for a month now, and it's been working well. Occasionally I get a "charging not supported" message, but reseating the plug in the cigaretter lighter jack fixes it.

The iPod Retraactable Car Charger is a definite bargain. No more messy cords all over the place when not in use because it is retractable! Easy to store or keep in the car. The price tag was even better. When I looked at car chargers in the Apple Store, I was about blown over by the high price...over $50!
