Cellet Elite Car Charger with Smart Display for Micro USB Phones

Cellet Elite Car Charger with Smart Display for Micro USB Phonesgreat charger for the money but some times phone doesnt get charged when i first plug it in.

pros: charges phone fast

works with the palm pre

cons: have to plug it in and out of socket to get it to work sometimes

Pretty big for a charger

conclusion: works great and it charges fast. Worth the money. A-

I have used this charger for 3 and a half years before it died, and that was only because the wire broke; the charging function still worked. The screen lights amber when charging and blue when fully charged. It also includes a timer. It's very basic and the screen doesn't serve much of a purpose but for the price it is very worth it. It does charge much more slowly than on an AC charger, but I don't know if that is this product or if all car chargers are like.

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia running Android 1.6. When running Google Navigator, the battery would die in about an hour while connected to a standard car charger, starting with a full charge. With the Elite Car Charger, it does better, but I still lose about 10-15% per hour under the same conditions. It doesn't provide power to the phone while simultaniously charging its battery as advertised, only reduces the rate of discharge. Also, I'm not sure what the real purpose of the LCD display is. It has an animated battery charging, and what looks to be a timer. I'm guessing it's the time it's been on the charger in minutes. It lights up nicely, but really serves no purpose. It's worth the $5 you pay here on Amazon. I wouldn't pay more for it.
