This car charger works fine. Your phone will get charged and it has a red light to indicate that power is flowing through. My completely dead phone fully charged in approx 2 hours. I think that's pretty good. When the engine is shut off the charge will also halt even when it's still plugged into the power port. (Phone will only charge when engine is running) I think when the phone is fully charged the light turns green (I think). But either way it's excellent for on-the-go charging since many newer phones eat up batteries fast due to its frequent usage.
