I use this on the weekends I don't drive my Mini Cooper which has a battery in the trunk, however I use the connections from the front engine compartment and run the wire through the hood scoop. It tops off the battery perfectly. I monitor it with my radar detector which has a volt meter. I've had it for almost two months and so far I'm pleased!!
