I bought three of these in September and all 3 were working up until about a month ago then 2 of the 3 suddenly died. Today, I decided to open them up and see if I could figure out what was wrong and I noticed that instead of 5V they were putting out a little over 10v. I got out my multimeter and compared a bad one to the good one and figured out the voltage regulator (MC34063A) inside wasn't working right. I replaced it with a spare voltage regulator I had and it works just fine. I'm giving it 3 stars because it looks like they just got a bad batch of voltage regulators because MC34063A is a very common and reliable part.

Charger itself works great, the cord is a little shorter than I am used to... but the extra speed on charging is worth it. (and for the price how can you go wrong)
