This cradle seems to have been designed for a single use case , computer desk top . The phone part only has a USB cable , perfect if u only need to plug it into a computer ...

Meanwhile , the spare battery portion uses it`s own AC adapter , connected via a mini USB connector . Seriously , who uses mini USB these days ? Micro USB is the standard ! I subtracted a star for this because the mini USB setup isn`t very useful !

As I remarked above , this arrangement is perfect if u only use the cradle on ur computer desk top . Trouble is , many people , including me , don`t use cradles that way ! I , for instance , use it on my night stand chiefly for charging ; if I need to sync my Torch with my computer , I use the cable that came with the phone .

The trouble here is that if used as I outlined last paragraph , it takes up an entire outlet ! Not good if outlets space is at a premium , as it is for most people ! This is why I subtracted the only ; this product is none too versatile ! I am returning it ...

This is a great alternative charger and it is inexpensive. My brother-in-law who now has my old Blackerberry got this charger for work. He is very happy with it. He showed me how he can leave it plugged to his computer and still use it with out it being in an akward position. It looks sturdy and durable. He is very happy with his choice.

If you have a BB Torch and you it a lot you will need an extra battery. This was the ideal solution for me. It has one built on usb cable for charging the battery while in the phone or connecting to a computer. When my friends visit it also charges their phones with micro USB connections.

It has a mini-usb port for connecting the charger for the extra battery. This is the only feature I didn't like. I would have preferred a micro-usb port since that's the port that the regular BB chargers would have been plugged into. Any it works since they supplied the product with a charger.

Overall a great product.

lost the original on a trip to VEGAS, who would of thought hahaha...this was a quick replacement doing everything it is supposed to except charging phone/battery simultaneously, if not an issue then good to go, for me what i wanted, and fast!

The battery charger portion did not work at all. The stand also holds the phone almost completely straight/perpendicular, so the phone doesn't feel particularly secure. Returned.
