iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Car Charger 12V DC - Gun Shape

I bought this for my husband's new iphone but it did not work at all. I have yet to return this product to amazaon!

There is nothing worse than getting something that is DOA. Really, it's a simple power cable. Put it in my car and plugged my iPhone in only to realize an hour later that it never charged.

I purchased this charger for my 98 4-runner. It didn't work in my car or any of the other cars I tried it with. I thought perhaps I just got a bad item so I returned it and requested an exchange. Although I was impressed with the ease and timeliness in which Amazon provided a replacement, unfortunately the second one did not work either. Finally, I went to Best Buy and bought a $20 car charger and it works fine so I know it wasn't my vehicle's outlet that was bad. I guess you get what you pay for.

I know, you get what you pay for. This wouldn't even plug in to my husband's 3GS iphone and barley fit in mine. I was afraid it would damage the port so I threw it away. Don't waste you time...

Item fit my IPhone 3GS just fine without the case. Once I tried to plug it in with my OtterBox case on over them phone however it wouldn't fit or work at all. Only way to plug it in is to remove the case all together. :( The charger has a "locking" clip for a lack of better term that keeps hitting the cases opening. It's a shame they didn't test it out with one of the best selling cases for the Iphone.

5 stars for it working.....3 stars for it not going above and thinking ahead. Total of 4 stars. For $5 it makes a great backup charger.
