The Baofeng UV-5R is a nice little 5 watt HT. The programming cable is an absolute necessity as the radio is difficult to program manually. It took a bit of surfing the net to find drivers for the cable that would work with Windows XP but I finally found a driver that works. The programing software is not very good, it was much easier to use "Chirp", a free program found on line. Once I got the radio programmed it works great, I can hit most of the repeaters in my area from the home QTH.Save 42% Off
