Doesn't fit the Samsung SCH-U550 as advertised so I have no idea whether the device works.Do not bother buying it for that particular cell phone.
I haven't had the opportunity to use this yet, however, it is what I needed and it does fit my car and phone.

The first time we plugged the charger in and removed it the entire thing fell apart. Total waste of money.

My car charger broke within a week of purchase. The knob at the end has a spring that broke in 3 days. Not worth buying. Save your money for a more reliable car charger.
