trying to figure out how to connect the controller to a computer. official reply from Sain is "not possible".
but
the rj45 cable is wired mirror, so probably null-modem. with their MPPT/MT-5 models, the literature claims "ttl232", so it's likely rs232 or rs485, and if we're lucky m-bus/meterbus xml/sml type stuff.
if you want to save some (literally half the) money and risk buying from China (epsolar actual maker, or belismart apparent western distro), the controller is model EPIPDB-COM.
but Sain store are decent I have gotten handheld Ham stuff from them in the past and no complaints.I bought this to add to my solar panel and power inverter set up well made good price shipped right awyKeeps my engine and house batteries topped off nicely. Display easily shows current from solar panel, voltage on batteries, at a touch of a button. There is no power at the marina I keep our cabincruser at and this is keeping my boat batteries to a full charge. ;-{o
