As previously stated, this cradle is NOT an HP product as advertised. It is an Orion Product which, as previously stated, in my case has a defective DC connector on cradle or wire causing flickering and poor connection to the PDA.

This necessitates using alternate means to charge and Synch the PDA. The mfgr refuses to send a replacement with prepaid return label; asking that I first remove my criticism of the product. Can you believe this "holdup"?

As previously mentioned, this was listed as a HP item when in fact it is a knock off by a company called orion.

it does not fit good, and I guess I will have to put that one down as a bad experience.

Amazon should make their suppliers/vendors give accurate descriptions and supply what they describe.

I purchased two (2) docks and neither one lives up to its claims. the charging work OK, but the commumication with the computer does not work. the only way to sync is a direct connection using the iPAQ cable Do not waste your money!!!!!

I purchased the cradle just recently. Well, it worked for a day and then my computer gave me an "invalid USB device" when i plugged in the IPAQ. I figured that having a dual charger for my spare battery was more important than having to charge both batteries separately because I could always use the USB cable directly. But then it got too annoying NOT to be able to connect and charge at the same time. So I plugged the USB wire that came with it directly to the IPAQ and it worked so I figured there must be something wrong with the connection inside. Took my tester out and started testing connections from the connector at the back all the way to the front. I think something is messed up with the connections at the back. So I cut the USB wire that came with it, cut the connections between the back connector and the cradle connector and searched google for the right connections and soldered the cut USB cable and the cradle connections together and it worked. I just made another hole at the back of the cradle for the cable to go through so that it becomes a permanent connection. Now, I could use the cradle as it was originally intended. I think that Orion should test and retest connections and improve quality control.
