This charger appears to be of higher build quality than the generic white "iPhone" chargers that are in a lot of accessory kits. It feels solid (not hollow and flimsy) and the blue power LED is behind a molded lens, not just peeking through a hole in the case.
Time will tell if it lasts longer than the generic cheapies, but I will be using it for two hours a day, at least 5 days a week. If it fails on me I will come back and edit this review. A generic cheapie lasted about a month in that kind of service before it simply stopped charging.

I bought this product for my daughter who recently purchased an iPad 3. This is a great charger for the price and it has worked well so far. The bonus is the 1000mAh USB port which is great for charging iPods. You can plug in the outlet in the car and use your devices while they charge.

This car charger is great! Not had the first problem with it. I leave it in my vehicle for both myself and my husband to charge our phones. Works great!
