Do not purchase this product it does not work.I tried to connect to several outlets thinking that may have been the problem, still could not get it to work.

I haven't tried the car charger but the USB cord works fine.

A bit on the cheap side. Gets really , really hot when plugged in. Works okay though. Probably wouldn't order again.
