Can you believe that there is a dual band (2 meter and 440) dual display / monitor ham radio for under $50 that really works? It is a 4/1 watt and seems to be working great. I have three of them and they are excellent for the price. I downloaded CHIRP software for free and use it for programming the radios. At this price, you can carry a radio in each car in case of emergency. I'm buying one for every family member who get their Ham license.You can also get a 3600 MaH battery for under $20. Now that is what I call a deal. As a side note, Amazon is a great place to buy it from because they stand behind what they sell. I ordered a 5R+ radio that didn't arrive and after three weeks we found it was sitting at the post office. Amazon did all they could to help us find the radio. Hats off to you Amazon. Post office-not hats for you at all. You need to try harder!
