The sync cables for my Zune were getting old and all the ends for connecting to Zune were breaking apart so only the metal remained which could be plugged in to the Zune but I did not feel that was safe.

It says it requires some kind of hook up. Doesnt make any sense to me but I guess it happens. Not the best but thats because it wont connect. Im going to look for a different one. I know its the cord because my ipod works just fine connecting and my zune did with the one I lost before ordering this one.

Purchased this to replace my daughter's worn out Zune sync cable. It was promoted as working the same as the original sync cord, but it is NOT compatible. It does charge the unit, however it DOES NOT sync with the Zune software so it cannot download new music. I have since ordered her another one from another site.

It did arrive promptly and it was cheap, but save your money unless all you're looking for is a new charger for your MP3.
