Looks OK but its plastic, i hooked it up and plugged in my Android phone to the usb port, it worked for about 5 seconds and the red light on the usb port went out, i unplugged the phone and apparently the 5 volts no longer works, the 12 volt outlet still works, I'm very unhappy with this, it was a pain to take off my gas tank and run the wires and if i send it back i will have to do this all over again, i simply don't have the time to do all this, if i could get the manufacturer to just send me a new head piece with the socket i could just splice the wires into the harness.

I don't see that happening so i rate it one star.

BTW,the wiring is done correctly, a 6 year old could wire this thing together, i just go a bad product.

The system contains a quality battery connection harness and fuse. Unfortunately the USB port and the red 'on' light burnt out after one day with less than 10 Min usage time. The charger plug still works. Nice concept but

The unit itself is cheaply made from low quality plastic and low quality internal unit wiring. If it did fully work, I would give it 4 stars for the value, but in this case the overall low price is reflected in the unit's compromised quality

I purchased this to charge my phone while riding my Harley.

Pros:

USB connection

Cigarette lighter connection if you need something besides USB

Chrome looking finish matches bike well

Cons:

Cheap feeling plastic

No padding between clamp & handlebars scratched the chrome on my handlebars

Rubber cover for ports flaps in the breeze when using this (minor annoyance)

In all, not a bad buy. I'm careful with it when plugging/unplugging things it is made of chrome colored plastic and feels cheap so I'd hate to break it.

I purchased this "Chrome Cobra Ultimate USB Charging System". Never once did the info mention the unit is 14 carrot plastic. Looks better online than it

really is. I installed unit which is unusable in rain. I doubt the wiring is sealed water tight where it enters the unit itself. I expected better quality than I received. I would be afraid the female cigarette input would melt with any kind of load that some devices might pull.

Easy install, looks great and love the waterproof cover. Hardest part of the install was deciding which side to mount it on. Plugs in easily to my battery tender plug, no extra wiring.
