The charger works great. I was worried about that. The only flaw in the design is that the retractable cord is too short to allow you to use the phone while it is charging. What up with that? When I really need to use the phone, I need to either pull over and park, or try to drive like a little old lady and peer through the steering wheel.

I ordered this because I got a new cell phone and needed a car charger, but didn't want the curly cord taking up a bunch of space. This retractable one works perfectly! The only part that is weird is when I plug it in my phone asks what kind of memory I want to use? Almost like my phone thinks it is being plugged into a computer. It still charges just fine, so I don't really care about that.

I wanted to add something else now that I've had the charger for a few months. The cords seems to be just a tad bit short if you plan on making a call in your car while the phone is plugged in. I know this depends on the car and the height of the person using it, but for me, I have to lean over quite a bit to even make a call. It is a minor detail but can be awkward.
