My APS RS 800 failed with a bad battery warning. I have another similar but single battery backup which I used to test the batteries. My volt meter showed correct voltage. Sure enough, one battery again failed the APC self test. The reviews were good and the price was good, so I purchased 2 new ones to insure a hopefully long and trouble free future. I had to re use the connectors and the tape that held the two batteries as one. So, far so good. We have repeated power interruptions and the APC and the new batteries are working flawlessly for at least 6 months. As usual the Amazon free shipping was faster than estimated.
