Install was super easy, the instructions where very clear, and the product's built quality was very high.
Mine is installed in a converted cargo trailer, and is being feed by 4x85w mono crystalline panels.
It in turn feeds 8x125AH deep cycle batteries.
The whole system is subject to the rigors of a mobile environment, including some off road adventures.
The charge controller has worked flawlessly for over a year now and is holding up very well.
My only Crits are having to open the case to access the hook ups, and that the punch outs can be sharp, and can cut you
if your not careful.
I also wish it wasn't so expensive but, compared to other controllers it's a steal!
I am happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone in need of an inexpensive durable charge controller.I bought this for my PV system which is 5, 100W panels, a 1500W sine inverter, and 250AH battery bank. The controller comes default settings for a 12V charge controller (although it can be configured for 12,24,48 and a load controller, and more). It comes with a thick detailed manual in real English, and has internal adjustments for bulk charge and float charge levels. It took less than 15 minutes to install (4 connections plus mounting) and it works really well. With the 500W panel source, the heat sink doesn't even get warm, and it seems to cycle the batteries between bulk (14.5V) and float (13.8V) with great efficiency. I set the bulk and float charge levels based on my batteries with easy to read potentiometers in the unit. I would certainly buy this controller again if the need arises. Feel free to comment with any questions. There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers, so no promises... ;-)
