This charger will not charge your Rezound with any but the most minimal of cases on. I have a couple different cases for mine and couldn't get the male micro USB connector from the dock to insert far enough to begin charging. Additionally, the backrest behind the where the Rezound sits (which it would, in theory, rest on) sits back too far for it to support the phone, so really the only thing supporting the phone in the mostly vertical position is the USB connector. Also, just as a point of information, the spare battery charger behind the phone charger is completely flat, so it should accommodate either a standard battery or an extended battery.

The charger is light but doesn't have a cheap feel. There's a blue LED in the back that throws light above and behind the phone when plugged in. I think it's a nice effect. The male plug is the standard type and fits the HTC Rezound, but it's not the notched shape that came with my phone. There's nothing to guide the placement or angle, so it can be very difficult to get the plug into the port. It almost always takes me several seconds or longer to get it seated. Once the phone is in, it's always difficult to get it out and usually requires two hands, which is a problem when answering it in bed.

UPDATE: I got spare batteries and found that the battery charger doesn't work at all. I tried leaving different batteries in the compartment in the rear, and all were completely dead after days of charging.

I bought this to charge my phone at night and use it as an alarm clock in the bedroom. Useless lights on this awful charger are so bright I have to totally cover both the phone and charger. Yes it charges the phone, no the phone doesn't seat easily, Yes I can hear the alarm under the towel that is used to block the stupid lights (and phone unfourtunately). I would give it two or three stars if it didn't have the two always on lights, (yes two useless lights stay on all the time)

I bought this with the intention of using it to play some music while it charges. The charging aspec of it is okay, but the connection can be difficult to line up right. I spend more time trying to get the phone in place than its worth. I prefer to use a regular wall charger with a case that has a little stand in the back. This unit has no speakers (which I knew about). I can charge through a wall attachment or a USB line, but the USB line is permanent to the docking station. To me, the station just isn't worth the money.
