I bought two of these for the Palm Pre Plus. I have no intention of using them with the touchstone so the incompatibility there is of no consequence to me. I was pleasantly surprised by this charger. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the cheap price and the flimsy packaging that the chargers arrived in, but they are wonderful.My previous car charger had the accordian style cord that would pull out of the socket before reaching my head to answer a call. This retractable cord is long enough to talk on the phone while charging (in jurisdictions where that's still legal w/o a hands free device).
It has so far retracted fully every time I've pushed the conveniently located retract button and I've been using it for about 2 months now. Since the cord can be retracted to any length desired, the retract feature also helps my charging pre plus from flying off the center console when I corner.
This charger has a microUSB connector so it could connect to other devices that are not the Palm (many LG phones use this plug as well).
UPDATE>>>For the price I didn't expect these charges to last forever but they all started to fall apart under normal use. Great price, you get what you pay for and they are convenient but I also suspect that this charger doesn't carry as much charging capability as one with a thicker cord/better design. In summary, good enough product but buy a few as you will need to throw them out periodically.
ConsDoes not fit in the touchstone. That would have been nice as I do not trust the USB cover plastic (on the phone) to last with too much use.
So it's a fine product, but that being said, I'm contemplating buying the car adapter to plug a retractable USB cord into that one user describes as actually fitting in the touchstone.
I've noticed some products labeled for the Palm Pre PLUS that don't actually fit due to the standard touchstone back cover they now have. That doesn't affect this item, I'm just throwing this out there so other reviewers can be sure to specify which model they have. I have the Verizon Palm Pre Plus and I can tell you the two Boxwave items I bought that were labeled for the PLUS do not actually fit. Those would be these:

Just sent for my RMA for those two.Plugged it in to my car and several other cars but never worked. Maybe I just got a bad one but I figure I should let others know in case it happens on a lot.I bought this when I first got my phone. It worked wonderfully until the cord got stuck in the power adapter. When I finally got it out, the wire was completely stripped and the whole thing was unusable. I will not buy another one.After pulling out the cord the first time, it failed to retract. I was forced to dissasemble it to 'fix' it and was amazed at the poor quality of parts/construction on the inside. It does charge, and I've managed to get the cord to the exact lenght i need for my car; else I would have returned it. I guess I got what I paid for.
