Vehicle/Car & Home/Travel Charger for Nokia N8 AC/DC Power Adapter Set

After trying a few generic micro USB car chargers that did not provide enough power to charge my Nokia N8 (to be fair, they were not advertised as supporting the Nokia N8), I tried this one which specifically says that it works with the Nokia N8. It works great! The fact that it came with a spare plug-in electric charger is a great bonus that I can pack to take with me on vacation so I don't have to worry about remembering to pack the charger that came with the phone at the last minute. Two great products for one great price. I am very pleased with these items.

I bought this charge because I am always on the go. When I am traveling in my car my phone can charged if needed. Or when I am spending the night with my mother, I do not have to unplug the charger that came with the phone. Basicly,this is a spare charger, that makes me have access to a charger no matter where I am. Besidesi, it did not take a long time for me to receive it.

The chargers are very cheap quality. The plugs become loose very soon and you phone will get connected / disconnected continuosly.

The Nokia N8 phone experience has been rather rocky for me, and the latest fiasco came when the electric charger supplied with the phone unceremoniously stopped working. Maybe the very thin wire got damaged, or something went wrong with the phone socket, but plugging in the charger in the bottom of the phone produced zero results. I was able to keep it going using the USB connection on my office computer, which also made me have to connect to the Nokia Ovi suite while charging, but for some reason, this option failed to work with any of my home computers. Long holiday weekends therefore meant no cell phone.

This charger set has saved the day, as I am now able to charge the phone anywhere with a 110V outlet, through the same side port used with the USB cord, or even in the car. The few dollars involved in this purchase have saved me having to buy a new smartphone. A worthwhile purchase even if your electric charger is working, cause you never know when you're gonna need a spare.
