First let me say that the shipping on this item was fantastic with Hurricane Sandy descending on us I searched Lowes and Home Depot for generators and they were sold out in a 3 1/2 hour radius of North Jersey I made the decision to buy this around 1PM on Thursday the 25th the shipping was going to be a few days they estimated Monday the 29th for delivery On Friday the 26th the trucking company called at 9AM to say they had my generator and could deliver on Saturday I chose to pick it up at the terminal just in case and had it in my hands at 10AM in just about 20 hours I can not praise Amazon & the trucking company enough for making this available -OK now for the review The packaging was fine everything was 100% coming out of the box there were a few items like the wheels and handles that you had to assemble but they gave you the tools so it took less than 15 minutes after that you will need about 37oz of a 10W 30 Motor oil to fill it to capacity it holds 6.5 gallons of gas and will run around 10-11 hours on a full tank and half capacity -
Once it had gas and oil I followed the instructions pulled the choke out and on the second pull it fired right up Monday Night the 29th we lost power it has been running ever since usually 5 hours on 2 hours off then shut down from 10pm to 6am no issues what so ever restarts on first pull every time Have 1 full size refrigerator; heat (natural gas forced hot air), lights, TV & DVD player, laptop, phones charging, without a single hiccup wife and daughter have used hair dryer and it powers through all of it without an issue
Once it calms down going to buy a TRI Carburerator for it and covert it so that it can run on Gas/LP/NG costs about 200 bucks for the conversion kit and the hose but will save that in the cost of gas and the ability to run on 3 different fuels is a huge plus -
Like most portable generators it is loud, but it is bearable -
