This was supposed to be a "all in one" gadget, allowing you to charge and sync your bb8900, thus to recharge a spare battery which is a great thing. Except there is one thing that cooled me down the minute I unpacked this you can't just put the phone in the cradle to charge it! No, that would be SIMPLE. You also need to plug in into mini-USB !!!!! For God's sake, one of good things about charging cradles is you DON'T have to use mini-USB port (which is very sensitive, btw, and primarily not designed for everyday plugging in/out like normal chargers).
Anyhow, this is a really nice 3-in-1 gadget, but this lack of usability is making me give it 1*.
I love my Blackberry, but the battery life is certainly not the best, especially if you have alot of apps on the phone and use it constantly the way I do. It's so convenient to just pop the phone in the charger when I get home. Also, I have a second battery for the phone, so I never have to actually charge the phone if I don't have time. I can just switch out my dead battery for a fully charged battery and be on my way. I highly recommend this item if you're on the go alot the way I am.
