This is better than *no* dock/cradle, but one has to separately attach the USB wire to the port on top of the handset. Not elegant!

Why can no vendor come up with a Samsung Galaxy-like desktop dock. Surely, the accessory vendors must know that the phone display will auto align to landscape mode when the phone rests on its side (so that the charging connector can insert in to the handset port).

I like almost everything about this phone charger except beware!they didn't reveal that the phone won't fit with a cover on it. And it is too much trouble to take cover off every time I charge phone. Cover is more important than charger. So I don't use it!!! Don't buy this product!

I have been looking for a Samsung Focus dock since I bought the phone last year. I always buy more than one. I had to wait a long time before someone finally introduced a dock. This one works OK, but, with a phone this tall and charging slot at the top, I would have preferred the new style horizontal docks. Samsung and others make them for very similar Samsung devices, just not this one.

That criticism aside, this dock also has a couple of drawbacks:

1. Provided adapter is 0.5A instead of 0.7A: It's designed for a specific device, the Focus, so they should have used an adapter that matches the manufacturer's. Their adapter causes longer charge times

2. Charge cable is a bit too short: The cable fits in a groove when not in use. They made it just long enough to fit into that groove. Plugging it into the phone is a bit hard because it's too short. It forces me to apply some side pressure on the charging slot every time. Plugging and unplugging the cable before inserting/removing the phone makes things a bit easier.

I usually enjoy most products I buy, but this one broke easily and the extra charger stopped working and would not charge my back-up battery. The metal prongs broke off easily. Now, I'm shopping for a cradle and charger again.
