USGLOBALSAT BT821 Bluetooth MTK GPS with Car Charger

Purchased to use with Delorme Street Atlas USA 2006 as a replacement for the LT-20 that came with it. Acquires signal quickly and connects to the software using my laptop's Bluetooth interface much faster than the wired unit it replaces. It is great that the laptop is no longer tethered to the dashboard via cable. Can run on the internal battery or pluged in to a 12v DC power plug (cigarette lighter plug).

Minor Con: The blinking indicator lights reflect off the windshield during night time driving and is annoying. My solution was to put my ball cap over it, which doesn't affect the signal at all.

Update: After using this gps receiver some more, I have decided to upgrade my rating from a 4 to a 5.

The Product was as good as advertised and it seems to be a product that will last for soom tike..

Did not meet my needs at all. There was no mention in the material before purchase or when recieved at home that it did not work with an I-Phone. Wasted alot of time on this and had to pay a restocking fee. The whole deal sucked.

Needed to replace a prior unit for use in my airplane. Also works fine in a car.

This one acquires very quickly, the battery really lasts, and it connects to the laptop painlessly.

The best feature to me is that it auto shuts off 10 minutes after no communication with the host laptop over Bluetooth. That helps me a lot because I was always forgetting to turn off the old one, thus draining the battery.
