I have 3 2 older and 1 newer. You have to buy a converter plug since the plugs are different on the dongles between old and new but the product is interchangeable. The new one is more for external uses. I needed help on the product choice so I called the manufacture. They really have a lot of options so do not be afraid to ask for help for tech-mate to pick the correct one for your application. Yet I wanted a product that I can use on the Atv's or the boat.
