Original Message: Battery is incapable of holding a charge greater than 6 volts after a few months. Originally I thought maybe my transformer was bad, so I bought a new one however, I still have the same problem with the battery maintaining a charge. The battery is being used for an alarm system backup with no draw, but have a low voltage warning showing up constantly. Finally, after purchasing a digital multimeter I have been able to monitor the system and battery. The battery is the problem. My last battery lasted 5 years, this one didn't make it 5 months. Maybe I just got a defective unit.Update. The seller was great in taking back the defective unit and provided a replacement that has been great so far.

I have had several battery backup units for more sensitive electrical devices (computer, TV, stereo). The batteries in them last for several years and then quit. I hate thinking about buying new units when the old ones are fine. I have bought about five different sized batteries here and they work wonderfully, fit perfectly, do everything I need. Be sure to order one with the correct posts/electodes/hookups. I feel so smart after finding these on Amazon. Thank you for providing such a wonderful value and convenience.
