USB Sync & Charge Cradle (with AC Charger) (w/ 2nd battery support) for Blackberry Tour 9630

I got this as a second desk charger and the fact it charged a second battery at the same time.

The cradle charger works great. I love the fact that you can charge extra battery while your phone is charging!

I'm happy with this product and am buying another one after two weeks of use so I won't have to carry one between work and home. I really like not having to worry about losing the connection with my computer when the sync cable gets moved or bumped (which happened regulary before using a sync cable with micro-USB to the BlackBerry). Now I have a solid connection all the time. I also like that the headset jack is exposed so I can use the headset while it is in the cradle (phone calls, etc). Unfortunately the volume controls are blocked. I believe the light in the bottom corner has a dual purpose to let you know status of both the BlackBerry and the extra battery. Since I don't have an extra battery it flashes constantly, but not that big a deal. There is only one mini-USB connection on the back, so the cradle is connected to computer or power charger but not both. It does charge though when connected to the computer though just not as fast. Since I leave mine connected to the computer most of the time I've always got a full charge. Sliding it into and out of the cradle works well.

PROS: lightweight, headphone jack is usable while in cradle

CONS: can't access external volume adjustment while in cradle

I would not recommend this product, as it did not meet my expectations, especially for a product that is over 22 dollars.

First, the build quality for this product is of cheap plastic. It looks cheaply made. The AC Adapter looks really cheap as well.

Second, yes, they provide you with a AC adapter and a USB Data Cable.. However, the cradle only has ONE output plug. You can plug either the USB cable OR AC Adapter. You cannot plug in both. For example, you put the phone in the cradle, to sync to your computer. If you want it to charge faster, you would need to unplug the usb cable from behind the cradle, and plug in the AC adapter to the cradle. This defeats the purpose of having a cradle.

Third, the second battery is hidden UNDER the phone (when the phone is on the cradle). It's difficult to take out.

Have second, third, and fourth thoughts before you plunk your money down on this product.
