I picked up this stand for my wife to use with her iPad, which has a thin back cover on it, and which wraps around the edges of the iPad. The XtremeMac InCharge Sync stand fits her iPad to a tee, and it also fits her iPhone (which is in a case, too). The adjustable back rest adjusts in very small increments, which means the fit can be adjusted quite close, and it provides good support to the iPad. The base is weighted, and is large enough that the iPad doesn't feel like it's going to topple over. As with any new stand/dock, it takes a bit of practice to slide the iPad smoothly onto the dock connector, but after a few times my wife got the hang of it. Now I'm going to order another stand for my iPad!

If you have a few iDevices like me, this dock is your best bet. It fits all the devices I have and even my iPod classic with the case on. The back support is also easily adjusted to suit any model you have. Overall very pleased with this product.

Excellent, adjustable, sturdy yet portable enough for travel.This Xtreme mac supports the iPad while i use the iLuv app to display alarm clock, weather, radio all while it charges my iPad 2 or girlfriend's iPad 3. Found it at Marshall's on clearance. Note, an AC adaptor plug is needed to fit USB terminal end of included cord. Great charger stand, i wish I hadn't waste time and $ with the cheaper nonadjustable charger stands.

You must use two hands and pay attention that its inserted right side up. When it's time to go you need to use two hands to disconnect.

Dock:

Get home, Drop the phone in the dock with one hand and it charges. When you go out, just grab your phone and go.

(If the base doesn't let go, your pinkie finger can push it away.)

Note: The back 'lean-to' portion is adjustable via a small button on top. This accomodates your iPhone whether or not its in a case. It's also semi-rubberized to be gentle on your phone.

This is a good dock, it's basic, but does have the adjustable back to support the device with or without a case. It will charge and synch an iPhone, but to charge and synch an iPad, you have to connect it directly to the computer of course. However, I have mine connected to the USB hub and synch wireless. It will take a while to charge if not directly connected to the computer unless you have the new USB hub that has a high output port.
