HQRP Pair MC3 T-branch Solar Panel Connector M/M/F & F/F/M (1F2M & 1M2F) for PV / Photovoltaic Syst

HQRP Pair MC3 T-branch Solar Panel Connector M/M/F & F/F/M for PV / Photovoltaic System plus HQRP CoasterThese plugs are made with a good quality plastic casing and aluminum contacts. Seams to be constructed pretty good. Great for wiring up solar modules in parallel. Casing snaps together and hold pretty good. A little difficult to get apart but after you get your wire in there it's there. Won't pull apart very easily.

I have a small installation at a home in Mexico, just 2 panels. I hated to twist the cables together so I bought a few of these. They fit very tightly, so snug that I could barely disconnect without a few hard full force tugs and wiggles, so no water is going to be getting inside there.

I installed a pair of solar panels on my roof that came with the "old style" MC3 connectors. I configure my panels as 12 VDC sources, so I needed to connect these panels in parallel. Using these HQRP T-branch connectors, I was able to do this and consequently use just one line pair from these two panels on my roof to the solar charge controller. These are high quality connectors and work well.

What more can I say? It does the job well. It allowed me to run my unisolar panels in 12v quite easily.

I actually bought these connectors to replace another set that allowed water into the connections and an ill fit on one of lines that those connectors went to. Unfortunately the same problem existed with the new connectors. My conclusion was the problem with the ill fit was due to a problem with connector ends on the existing lines. I also determined that the solution to the water could only be fixed by adding an insulating gel to the connection ends.

This product in general worked well and was of high quality, but you should consider an insulating gel to assist with water intrusion. I used one designed to work with spark plug wires on automotive engines.
