Wow! Two drills, standard and impact. Small yet powerful for a 14.4 volt drill. Well balanced and ergonomically shaped for those big jobs. Drills have a belt hook if you are in need of an extra hand or, if not, you can remove the hook altogether. The drills have a built in light that is readily available at the push of a button, located on the base. It is unfortunate that the LED light does not come on automatically like the Makita BTD142HW. The impact drill was impressive when I used it to replace the garage door rails. Battery life is much better than expected, the drill has a low battery alert so that you can swap out batteries without the surprise of a dead battery in the middle of drilling something. Battery charger is over engineered, however, is pretty straight forward once you read the instructions a second time. The batteries are quick to charge too. I am a wood worker. I researched a new drill driver and impact driver for about 2 months. It came down to bosch or panasonic. Some of the bosch reviews scared me off with the wobbling of the chuck. There were very few reviews on the panasonic that concerned me, but panasonic has always been a notch above with their batteries. I wanted 1/2 inch chuck capacity, and brush-less motor with the driver. The impact power setting on the impact driver is highly effective. I have been extremely happy on the two jobs I have used it.

Had first panasonic impact for over 5years and worked great. New bread of impacts are delicate(break easy from a fall) and don't last as long. The only reason to buy this product in the past was the high quality but thats gone.
