This charger is advertised as a charger for the Acer Iconia tab. IT IS NOT! Would have given one star rating but it did work on my HTC Inspire 4G phone so it is not a total loss. Would have returned otherwise.

If you value your money do not buy this, as you'll never be able to charge your Acer Iconia with this thing since it will not take a charge via the USB plug. If it could, then the OEM charger would be USB. Save your money and find something that will actually charge your pad.

This is for Acer Iconia "Smart" which is a CELL PHONE, not for "Tablet." Reading a few reviews, a few buyers mixed up the "smart" and "tablet," but it works on the phone.

This product is falsely labeled. It will not work for a Acer Iconia A500.

Instead, you will need a charger with the mini-cylinder plug that outputs 12 VDC at 1.5 Amp.

Be careful, a lot of mobile chargers that claim to put out 1.5 Amps, do not.
