I think I am jinxed when it comes to cables for my iPod, iPad, or iPhone. Between my wife, kids, and myself, we actively use 5-6 Apple products and are constantly fighting over the few chargers that actually work.

The Apple ones seem to have a short life, maybe its the abuse they get at my home, maybe its the product, but they dont last long. Due to the cost of the Apple cords, I have tried many, many generic versions and they die faster or dont work at all. This one is the exception.

This cord is sturdy. It is much heavier and stiffer than the rest, including the Apple brand. The connections seem sturdier as well. It works on ALL of my iWhatevers, not just certain versions like some others do. It charges quickly, which isnt a problem I have had with any that actually work, but it felt worth mentioning. The cord is roughly the same length as the Apple supplied cords, I prefer them a bit longer, but as long as it WORKS I will live with a rather short cord.

Overall, as with all of the Belkin cords I have used, I have nothing but good things to say for this product. If you need a new or additional cable for an Apple product, this is the way to go.

I often use my iPad while tethered to the power outlet, that movement quickly shorted out the official Apple sync cable that came with my iPad. The Belkin cable is much thicker and just looks to be more sturdy, I have been using it now for longer than I had the Apple cable and it is preforming flawlessly. And it is half the price!

We plugged this directly into a computer and it has significant advantages over several over brands. Others had a problem with wires pulling away from the plug which caused the wires to fray. This has not been an issue with the Belkin model, making it worth the extra bucks since it is likely to last longer. I have faith that it will continue to perform well because it is heavier and sturdier than other models. It just looks and feels different but I will update that as we use it more often.

It was used to charge both an iPhone and an iPad and didn't interfere with the cases for the iPad and iPhone. We have a Gum Drop case on the iPad (love it) and an Otterbox on the iPhone (also love it).

So our experience has been absolutely superior to past brands. Recommended!

This cable is thicker and longer than the cable Apple supplied to use with the charger for my iPad 3. I now use this cable instead of the Apple cable because its extra length and added durability make it easier for me to use my iPad 3 while keeping it plugged in.

I also sometimes use this cable to charge my iPhone 4S when I am not using it to charge my iPad 3.

My iPad 3 is black (as is my iPhone 4S) and I like that this cable matches the color.

A negative review claims that this cable does not work with the iPad 3, but that is contrary to my own experience. However the cable will only fit if the word "Belkin" on the cable head is facing down.

Bottom line: This is a quality product that is a nice replacement for the standard white Apple USB cable.

When I took this cable out of the packaging I could immediately tell it was high quality, much higher than the standard OEM apple cable. I attached it to my iPod 64GB and it immediately synced up with iTunes with no compatibility issues like I've experienced with other 3rd party products that claimed compatibility. Lastly I allowed my iPod to go completely dead and attached it to my computers USB 3.0 port to see how long it took to fully charge from empty. It took 38 minutes. Great product, I highly recommend it.
