This two-piece device is an ideal solution for my needs. My LG cellphone came with an AC charger, but I needed a car charger for long trips, when I often have long conversations, using my Bluetooth headset. This two-piece set is no more bulky than a one-peice charger, and offers a second USB socket for other devices I use on the road as well. The other advantage is that the cord can be used to charge from my laptop USB as an alternative. When traveling, I ALWAYS have my laptop, but may leave the AC charger behind. With several charging options I never worry about a dead phone.
