I purchased a samsung phone from t-mobile earlier this year and to my dismay, no universal car charger I tried would charge the phone while it was on ( so would have to turn phone completely off to charge)! I contacted t-mobile and was told I would most likely have to get the charger specifically made for my phone from them which cost about $30. I told them I would check with amazon.com first and to my surprise found the exact charger I needed for around 8.99, less than 1/2 their price!! It works perfectly, i.e. I'm able to leave it on while it charges so I can receive calls as they come in and can also talk on the phone while its charging, go figure! Bottomline it works the way all my others have in the past and I haven't had any problems!
